I messed up pretty badly this weekend. I didn't post on Friday or Saturday.
Friday I worked on a story to post and didn't like the result. I ended up falling asleep before I finished it. I still don't like even though I worked on it again on Saturday.
Saturday I wrote a rough draft of my posting and saved it instead of posting it.
I've learned three very important things from this exercise so far.
- Posting every day takes work and dedication.
- Write several posts at a time so that there is always something in reserve to post when time escapes you.
- Post even when the article isn't perfect. It's more important to write than be perfect.
Every writer needs self-discipline to write. There are hundreds of things that happen everyday that interrupt your writing. Write anyway. There no excuses for not writing.
I'm disappointed in my results for this blogercise. To become a better writer I need to exercise my writing muscle more.
