How do you feel when you get a card or letter in the mail?
How do you feel when you send a card or letter through the mail?
I love both feelings. I love sending cards and letters. I love getting cards and letters. I like mail so much that I print and mail my newsletter.
For me words printed on paper have a tangible feeling compared to email. I believe that cards and letters deliver a stronger message and have more meaning to people than email. What do you think?
You can download or read the two document posted by Canada Post to justify their decisions and action s by following these links Five Point Action Plan and Our Consultation With Canadians. I don't know who they spoke to or when they asked for public comments but what I find interesting is that instead of sending me something in the mail they chose an electronic format to gather feedback. It sounds like they had already decided what they were going to do and chose to hide behind an electronic format instead of using their own business of delivering mail to substantiate their decision. To paraphrase their reports "We used over 40 talk radio shows and our website to get feedback and response from the public". Why didn't they use mail?
Let me know what you think.
